Hijaz Hassan is an experienced manager with a strong background in engineering and facilities management. Currently serving as Manager of Engineering at Metro Toronto Convention Centre since February 2018, Hijaz previously held various roles at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts from January 2013 to May 2018, including Facilities Maintenance Manager and Assistant Night Manager. With a Bachelor of Commerce in Hospitality and Tourism Management from Ryerson University and multiple certificates in Building Environmental Systems from Seneca Polytechnic, Hijaz has demonstrated a commitment to improving operational efficiency, response times, and guest services throughout a diverse career in the hospitality and event management sectors. Notable achievements include enhancing work order completion rates by 50% and increasing upsell revenues at Fairmont's Front Desk.
