Assistant Director, Events at Metro Toronto Convention Centre

Sabrina Cristiano, CMP, CEM, DES has extensive work experience in the event management industry. Sabrina started their career at Ontario Place as an Assistant Manager of Events & Entertainment from April 2000 to December 2006. Cristiano then joined the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, where they held various roles, including Event Manager from May 2008 to March 2019, Senior Event Manager from March 2019 to May 2022, and currently Assistant Director of Events. Sabrina has recently been appointed as a Professor of Event Management at Centennial College, starting in January 2023.

Sabrina Cristiano, CMP, CEM, DES has a comprehensive education history that includes various degrees and certifications. Sabrina attended the University of Toronto from 2019 to 2020, focusing on Project Management. Prior to that, they completed an Instructing Adults Certificate at George Brown College from 2017 to 2018, specializing in Adult and Continuing Education and Teaching. In 2007, they obtained a Certificate (Post-Graduate) in Event Management from Niagara College. Additionally, Sabrina holds a Diploma in Technical Theatre Arts Production from Humber College, which they obtained from 1999 to 2001.

In terms of certifications, Sabrina obtained the Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation from the Events Industry Council in May 2014. Sabrina also achieved the Certified in Exhibition Management (CEM) certification from the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) in June 2018. Furthermore, they obtained the Ungerboeck Certified Venue Operations Associate certification from Ungerboeck in June 2020. Most recently, in December 2020, Sabrina received the Digital Event Strategist (DES) certification from PCMA.
