Craig Dance

Craig Dance is a seasoned railway professional with extensive experience in various managerial roles across multiple companies. Currently serving as the General Manager of Train Services at V/Line since October 2014, Craig oversees 350 drivers and is involved in developing strategies for SPAD reduction and competence management systems. In addition, as the Business Support Manager at Metro Trains Melbourne, Craig leads projects aimed at improving performance and safety within train services. Previously, Craig held the role of SPAD Program Manager at RailCorp, where a significant reduction in crew SPAD incidents was achieved. Craig’s earlier experience includes a variety of positions at First Great Western, where management of safety, change, and customer service projects was a key focus, all delivered effectively within budget. Craig holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Swansea University.
