Kristy Hammond

Kristy Hammond is an experienced professional in the rail industry, currently serving as the Network Events Planning Lead at Metro Trains Melbourne since January 2021. In this role, Kristy supports the integration of communications-based train control (CBTC) and the Metro Tunnel project into the Melbourne Rail Network, leading change initiatives and developing training programs for new technologies. Previously, Kristy worked at Downer from 2015 to December 2020 as a Competency & Compliance Specialist, where responsibilities included leading training delivery and evaluation activities across multiple states to meet safety performance standards. Earlier experience at Metro Trains Melbourne from June 2012 to March 2015 as the Competency & Training Administration Manager involved identifying critical training needs and managing the Rail Industry Worker Card and competency matrices for contractors.
