John Sands

John Sands has been the Director of Operations at Metro United Way since June 2003. Prior to that, they were the Sr. Manager of the Signature Service Unit at Conseco Services, LLC from March 2001 to June 2003. In that role, they managed a unit of agency liaisons for field market organizations and insurance brokerages. John investigated policy issuance issues for field market organizations and agency groups, researched and analyzed policy issues and trends to help identify process improvement opportunities, and worked in partnership with New Business department colleagues on policy and process improvements for policy issuance issues. From September 1997 to March 2001, they were the Manager of Insurance Operations at Conseco Services, LLC. And prior to that, they were a Customer Service/Market Representative at Humana Inc. from April 1994 to September 1997.

John Sands has a Bachelor of Applied Science in Interior Design from Sullivan University and an Associate of Science - AS in Interior Design from Sullivan College of Technology and Design. John also has a certification from Cornell University in Diversity and Inclusion Certificate.
