Metro Vancouver Transit Police
Metro Vancouver Transit Police is the only police service in Canada that is dedicated to policing a transit system while aiding in the provision of justice and enforcement of the laws of British Columbia. Transit Police jurisdiction is the entire transportation service region, including 144 km of rail, 63 stations, over 1,500 buses, 200 bus routes, and one passenger ferry route – an area crossing twenty-one municipalities and one First Nation, served by a combination of seventeen independent police forces and RCMP detachments.
