Jessica Yamamoto

Jessica Yamamoto is an Assistant Project Engineer in Solid Waste Services at Metro Vancouver since July 2022. Prior experience includes serving as Interim VP External for Engineers for a Sustainable World from March 2019 to July 2022, where responsibilities included organizing networking events and promoting sustainable projects. Jessica has held multiple roles at UBC, including Head of Mentorship and various project member positions focused on marine life, biochemical innovations, and medical technology. Additionally, roles at Environment and Climate Change Canada involved analyzing industry data for regulatory recommendations, while past experiences also include research at Performance BioFilaments and customer service leadership at Staples. Jessica holds a Bachelor of Applied Science in Chemical and Biological Engineering from The University of British Columbia.
