Joel Melanson has over 20 years of experience in engineering and construction, currently serving as Division Manager for the Engineering and Construction Division at Metro Vancouver since September 2006. Prior roles at Metro Vancouver include Lead Senior Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, and Project Engineer. Joel Melanson also worked as a Water and Sanitation Engineer for Médecins Sans Frontières from March 2005 to May 2010 and as a Water Resource Engineer at Camp Dresser & Mckee from June 1999 to June 2004. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Coastal and Oceanographic Engineering from the University of Florida and a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering from the University of Miami.
