Jonathan Cote serves as the Deputy General Manager of Regional Planning and Housing Development at Metro Vancouver since January 2023. Prior to this role, Jonathan held the position of Chair of the Mayors' Council at TransLink from 2018 until November 2022, where leadership was provided to a 23-member board, facilitating political advocacy for local governments in Metro Vancouver and securing essential funding for initiatives. Jonathan was also the Mayor of City of New Westminster from 2005 to November 2022, acting as Chief Executive Officer and guiding the city's vision towards a sustainable community. In earlier experience, Jonathan served as a Senior Claims Adjuster at ICBC. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Urban Studies/Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in History/Political Science, both obtained from Simon Fraser University.
