Elena Martin Hernandez

Elena Martin Hernandez is an accomplished professional with a strong background in environmental studies and climate education. Currently serving as a Research Science Intern at Metro Water Recovery since October 2025, Elena previously worked as the Community Climate Education Coordinator at Mile High Youth Corps, where a two-year campaign focused on increasing climate change awareness in underserved neighborhoods in Denver. Elena's experience includes positions such as U.S.-Africa Green Leaders Academy Fellow, Undergraduate Teaching Assistant in Global Climate Change Science and Policy at Cornell University, and various roles in student management and environmental support. Elena holds a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Studies from Cornell University and is dedicated to advancing climate education and sustainability initiatives.
