Robert McCarthy, PhD, currently serves as Deputy Treasurer and Head of Strategic ALM at Metro Bank (UK) since October 2017, focusing on treasury operations. Prior to this role, Robert was a Liquidity Consultant in Group Treasury at HSBC from September 2011 to October 2017 and worked as a Liquidity Manager in the Asset & Liability Modelling team at RBS between April 2010 and September 2011. Earlier experience includes serving as a Credit Product Analyst and Vice President in the Fixed Income division at Markit from September 2007 to April 2010 and as a Junior Agency Officer in the Loan Syndications division at HVB from October 2002 to January 2006.
