Chief Of IDD Provider & Specialized Services at Metrocare Services

Carrie Parks has a substantial work experience in the field of IDD (Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities) services. Carrie started their career as the Director of Vocational Services at MARC, Inc in February 2002. During their time there, they oversaw the daily operations of vocational and pre-vocational development programs, created and implemented curriculums and training programs, and coordinated job training sites. Carrie also played a role in developing a curriculum for a multi-agency summer camp and collaborated on grant writing to secure funding for the camp. In June 2008, Carrie joined Metrocare Services as the Director of IDD Provider Services. In this role, they led multiple departments, including behavior programs, Early Childhood Intervention, Vocational Services, and Waiver Provider Services. Carrie supervised over 200 employees, ensuring compliance with performance metrics and contracts. Additionally, they analyzed operations, identified areas for cost reduction and operational improvements, and implemented policy changes to improve profitability.

Carrie Parks obtained their Bachelors of Science degree in Social Work from The University of Texas at Austin, where they studied from 1990 to 1995. In 2014, they pursued further education and completed their Masters of Science in Management and Leadership with a focus on Non-Profit/Public/Organizational Management from Western Governors University, which they attended until 2016.
