Roxanna Brown has a diverse work experience in various industries. Roxanna began their career as a Cashier at Target in 2008 and later worked as a Security Officer at Whelan Security from 2009 to 2012. Roxanna then held positions at Bass Pro Shops, Sears Holdings Corporation, and Sheraton Dallas Hotel, where they gained experience in promotions and loss prevention. In 2013, Roxanna joined Bank of America as an Operations Representative and later transitioned to GEICO as a Licensed Insurance Agent, where they worked until 2022. During their time at GEICO, they also pursued a Graduate Student Writing Tutor role at the University of North Texas at Dallas from 2022 to 2022. In 2022, they joined Metrocare Services as a Qualified Mental Health Professional, and in 2023, they joined NAMI as a Helpline Specialist.

Roxanna Brown has a diverse education history. Roxanna began their academic journey in 2006 at Remington College-Dallas Campus, where they pursued an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in Criminal Justice. Roxanna completed this program in 2008.

After a break, Roxanna resumed their studies at Dallas College from 2017 to 2019, where they obtained an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Psychology. Building upon this foundation, they enrolled at the University of North Texas at Dallas and earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology from 2019 to 2021.

Roxanna's commitment to education continued as they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of North Texas at Dallas. Roxanna began this program in 2021 and is expected to complete it in 2024.

In addition to their formal education, Roxanna obtained certification in ASIST Suicide Intervention Training from LivingWorks in April 2023.

WHO WE ARE Metrocare is changing minds! We are North Texas'​ leading nonprofit dedicated to helping people with mental illness, developmental disabilities, and severe emotional problems live healthier lives. The primary disorders treated by Metrocare include depression, bi-polar, schizophrenia, anxiety, autism, ADD, and ADHD. OUR OPPORTUNITIES Metrocare hires psychologists and psychiatrists (bilingual and Spanish-language skills are needed and valued). We have research programs, and we train a new generation of mental health professionals for work in the public sector. OUR SERVICES Metrocare serves over 50,000 people annually. We provide adult mental healthcare services, including medication management, children and adolescent mental healthcare services, mental retardation/developmental disability services for adults and children, early childhood intervention services, primary healthcare services for families, pharmacy services, and social services that include housing services, occupational services, and foster care training and monitoring. OUR CLINICS Our 14 clinics and satellite clinics (including 7 main clinics) include two Centers for Children with Autism. Clinics are in Dallas, Grand Prairie, and Addison.
