Joshua Hawkins, PE, currently serves as the Chief Technical Officer at MetroConnects, overseeing the engineering department for the sewer sub-district that provides services to over 105,000 customer accounts in Greenville, SC. Previously, Joshua held the position of Director of Engineering at MetroConnects, managing engineering operations for wastewater services. Joshua has also accumulated significant experience in the US Air Force Reserve as a Loadmaster since 2004, directing cargo and personnel operations on the C-17 Globemaster. In addition to military duties, Joshua worked as BCWS Engineering Superintendent for Berkeley County (SC) Government from 2014 to 2019, mentoring staff engineers on water and sewer projects, and as an Engineer at ADC Engineering, Inc., focusing on civil design and project specifications. Joshua holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Clemson University and an Associate's degree in Aviation/Airway Management from the Community College of the Air Force.

MetroConnects
Established as the Metropolitan Sewer Subdistrict in 1969, MetroConnects is a special purpose district created by the State Legislature to operate and maintain sanitary sewer collection facilities. Today, MetroConnects operates and maintains approximately 1,400 miles of sanitary sewer collection lines. MetroConnects’ service area stretches from northern Greenville County to the southern portions of the county and southwest to Piedmont in both Greenville and Anderson counties. Our office is located within the South Carolina Technical Aviation Center (SCTAC) at 120 Augusta Arbor Way, Greenville, South Carolina 29605.
