Chris Lansley has a diverse work experience spanning across different industries. Chris is currently working as the Chief Risk Officer (CRO) at Metrolinx since October 2021. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Enterprise Risk at Alectra from February 2017 to October 2021. From October 2010 to February 2017, Chris worked as the Manager of Environment & Enterprise Risk at Enersource Hydro Mississauga Inc. Chris also held the position of Training, Safety, and Environmental Specialist (Acting Manager) at Caribbean Utilities Company, Ltd. from May 2006 to October 2010. Chris gained experience as a Client Manager at BSI from March 2005 to May 2006. Lastly, they worked as a Lead Auditor at SAI Global Assurance Services - Americas from January 2001 to March 2005.

Chris Lansley has a diverse education history. Chris holds a Masters Certificate in Risk Management & Business Performance from the Schulich School of Business at York University, which they obtained in 2014. In 2010, they completed a Masters Certificate in Executive Management from the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. Chris also has a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of Portsmouth, which they obtained between 1998 and 2000. Furthermore, they hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Environmental Management from Niagara College, which they completed in 1997. Their undergraduate studies include a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Earth and Environmental Science from Western University, which they obtained between 1992 and 1996. Chris has also earned various certifications, including OHSAS 18001 Lead Auditor from BSI in 2009, NCCER Master Trainer from the National Center for Construction Education and Research in 2008, and Standard First Aid + Heartsaver from St. John Ambulance in 2004, among others.
