Michael Newman

Michael Newman has over three decades of experience in procurement and operational management within the transit sector, currently serving as Senior Portfolio Manager for Operations at Metrolinx since December 2007. In this role, Michael is responsible for safeguarding the organization's interests by developing and implementing procurement policies and ensuring adherence to these regulations. Previously, Michael held multiple positions at Metrolinx, including Category Manager and Manager of Procurement Operations, where responsibilities included managing procurement services and overseeing the efficient supply of goods and services valued at approximately sixty million dollars annually. Prior to joining Metrolinx, Michael worked in Procurement Services at GO Transit from July 1992 until December 2007.
