Steve Brar

Steve Brar currently serves as EVP, CTO, and CIO of Payments at Metrolinx since January 2022, and as a CTO/CIO Consultant at Narus Technology since July 2020, with experience in digital acceleration for the Bank of Montreal and roles at various startups. Previously, Steve held the position of VP of Advanced Analytics Technology at Scotiabank, where responsibilities included transitioning data strategies to public cloud solutions. At TD, significant achievements included leading AI and digitization programs and overseeing North America’s Mobile and Omni-Channel Delivery. Prior to TD, Steve was Senior Director of Software Development at BlackBerry, where oversight included the BB10 platform. Early career experience includes serving as Director of Software Development at Oracle Corporation. Educational qualifications include a Master's in Engineering in High Performance Computing and a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, both from the University of Toronto.
