Zhao Phin Koo

Zhao Phin Koo has a diverse work experience in the energy and engineering sectors. In 2010, they worked as a Production Engineer at Global Alloy Manufacturing Sdn Bhd, where they successfully implemented a new Production Planning and Control system. From 2013 to 2015, they held the role of Sales Application Engineer at Sanggul Emas Sdn Bhd and achieved significant milestones such as securing a deal with Hyundai Heavy Industries/AkerSolutions for the supply of a Wet Gas Metering System. In 2017, they joined Invest Energy Sdn Bhd as an Engineering Manager, focusing on project development for energy generation solutions and waste heat recovery systems. Following that, from 2019 to 2021, they worked as Manager of Energy Performance & Services at Siemens. In this role, they managed energy performance and implemented various services. In 2019, they also took on the position of Business Development Manager at Cenergi SEA Sdn Bhd. Since 2020, they have been a Project Management Consultant at Shift Energy Taiwan. Currently, Zhao Phin Koo is working at METRON as the Operations Manager (Asia-Pacific) and will soon take on the position of Head of Operations (Asia-Pacific).

Zhao Phin Koo received a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Mechanical Engineering from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) from 2005 to 2009. Subsequently, Zhao pursued a Masters in Engineering with a specialization in Green and Energy Efficient Buildings from the Rosenheim Technical University of Applied Sciences from 2015 to 2016.
