J. Van Gurley

J. Van Gurley was the commanding officer of the Naval Oceanography Operations Command from May 1987 to July 2013. J. is currently the president and CEO of Metron.

J. Van Gurley studied ocean engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where they earned their BS, MS, and Engineer's degree (OE). J. then went on to study applied ocean physics and engineering at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, where they earned their second Master of Science (MS) degree. Finally, they completed their education with a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
