Elia Karagiannis

Elia Karagiannis has worked in software engineering and development since 2004. From 2004 to 2005, they were a Software Developer at PaperWise, where they worked on VB 6 enterprise applications and c# windows form apps. Elia was also introduced to SQL and software security. From 2005 to 2007, they worked as a Software Developer at MPMG, where they worked on a wide range of projects for the medical group in the Bay Area. From 2007 to 2017, they worked at Microsoft as a Principal Software Engineer, Principal Development Lead, Senior Development Lead, and Software Design Engineer. In their role as Senior Development Lead, they worked on a small 5 person team in Bing CoreUX, developing the UX for the web results, the Bing Knows task pane, and the Bing mobile web apps for the iPhone, Android, and Windows Phone. From 2017 to 2021, they worked as an Engineering Manager at Pinterest. Since 2021, they have been a Software Engineer at NetRoadshow, where they have worked to rewrite the frontend application to react, improved devops to enable continuous integration / deployment, and ensured bank level compliance. Elia is currently a Software Engineer at Metronome.

Elia Karagiannis obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Missouri State University between 2001 and 2005.
