Gideon Kipyakwai

Gideon Kipyakwai is the Group Chief Executive Officer of Metropol Corporation Limited, overseeing the performance of the holding company and its six subsidiaries, with a focus on sustainable growth within the ESG framework. Prior to this role, Gideon served as the Group Chief Operating Officer and as the Chairman of the Elgeyo Marakwet County Public Service Board, where responsibilities included public service management and service delivery improvement. Additionally, Gideon held various leadership positions, including CEO of Mobile World (K) Ltd., Board Committee Chair for Safaricom Dealers Association, and Associate Faculty at Mt. Kenya University. An accomplished academic, Gideon has earned multiple degrees, including PhDs in Management and Molecular Bioscience from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, while also engaging in teaching, research, and public policy dialogue through various platforms.
