Kimmo Nikkanen

Kimmo Nikkanen is a seasoned IT professional with extensive experience in strategic management and service delivery. Since August 2019, Kimmo has served as the Chief Information Officer at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences, overseeing the IT unit and shaping the institution's IT strategy. Previously, from January 2013 to March 2019, Kimmo worked as a Service Delivery Manager at Telia Finland Oyj, focusing on system maintenance outsourcing and vendor management. Prior experience includes a role as Department Director at TeliaSonera, leading an IT unit of 40 employees, and as System Manager at ICL Data, where responsibilities included supporting the Finance Department. Kimmo holds a Master of Science degree in Technical Physics from Teknillinen korkeakoulu-Tekniska högskolan and completed a leadership program at VIA Group.
