Alex Curtiss holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from Minnesota State University, Mankato, earned between 1989 and 1993. Currently serving as the Manager of Fleet Services at the Metropolitan Council of the Twin Cities since September 2007, Alex is responsible for the management and procurement of various categories of buses for the state. Prior experience includes roles as Senior Director of Sales at Transway Express, Director of New Business & Carrier Relations at Bay and Bay Transfer, and General Manager at Commerce Express, with additional experience as a Senior Account Manager at Transport America.
Metropolitan Council of the Twin Cities
The Metropolitan Council is the regional planning organization in the seven-county Twin Cities metropolitan area. We run the regional bus and light-rail system and Northstar commuter rail, collect and treat wastewater, coordinate regional water resources, plan regional parks, and administer funds that provide housing opportunities for low- and moderate-income families. Our board is appointed by and serves at the pleasure of the Governor.
