Lauren Finnegan, LCPC, CADC has a diverse range of work experience in the mental health field. Lauren has worked at Metropolitan Family Services as a Behavioral Health Director since 2023. Prior to this, they worked at Sertoma Centre, Inc. in various roles such as Director of Clinical Program Services, Clinical Programs Manager, Community Services Clinical Supervisor, Crisis Assessor, Linkage & Outreach Team Leader/Mental Health Therapist, and Psycho-social Rehabilitation Service Coordinator (Mental Health Counselor). Lauren also served on the Board of Directors for NAMI-SOUTH SUBURBS OF CHICAGO from 2018 to 2020. Additionally, they have worked as a Clinical Therapist at AMT Counseling Management Services and as an RTA Assessor at Community Alternatives Unlimited. Lauren started their career as a Bachelor level Intern-MHS at Sertoma Centre, Inc. in 2008.

Lauren Finnegan, LCPC, CADC, holds a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Mental Health Counseling from Saint Xavier University, which they obtained in the years 2009-2012. Prior to their master's degree, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Clinical Psychology from the same institution, where they studied from 2006 to 2009.

In addition to their degrees, Lauren has obtained various certifications. In April 2015, they obtained their license as a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. In April 2014, they received their CADC (Certified Alcohol and Other Drug Abuse Counselor) certification from ICB/IAODAPCA. Furthermore, in March 2013, they obtained a license as a Licensed Professional Counselor, also from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation.
