Marcus Thimm has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning over several years. Marcus has worked in various positions in different companies, showcasing their expertise in information technology and management.

Starting in 1996, Marcus served as the Technical Support Manager at ABC-NACO Inc., where they developed a web application that supported significant annual revenue. Marcus then moved on to become the Director of Information Services at Illinois School District U-46, overseeing a large IT staff and managing a substantial budget.

In 2007, Marcus joined Glenbrook High School District 225 as the Director of Technology, eventually being promoted to Chief Technology Officer. During their time there, they supervised and led a team of technology staff and played a crucial role in the district's technology implementations.

Marcus then transitioned to the private sector, taking on the role of VP of Technology at Rabine Group, where they modernized the company's network and server infrastructure, ensuring security and driving the adoption of Office365 and mobile device management.

Marcus continued their career growth as the VP of Technology at Gibsons Restaurant Group, where they led the modernization of network and server infrastructure and oversaw the adoption of GCP and G Suite.

Marcus then ventured into their independent consulting firm, Thimm & Associates, where they delivered IT consulting services to small and medium-sized businesses. Marcus'sresponsibilities included implementing and modernizing network infrastructure, managing cloud solutions, and negotiating contracts.

Most recently, Marcus joined the Metropolitan Family Services as the Director of IT Operations in 2023, further utilizing their experience in IT management.

Marcus Thimm has completed the equivalent of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with studies towards a Master's degree at the University of Hamburg. Additionally, they obtained a certification in ITIL 4 Foundation from AXELOS Global Best Practice in August 2019.
