Shadiin Garcia

EVP at Metropolitan Group

Shadiin Garcia is the Executive Vice President at Metropolitan Group. Shadiin has over 15 years of experience in the education field, with a focus on strategy and operations. Shadiin has worked at various organizations, including the Oregon Department of Education, where they served as the Senior Strategy & Operations Officer; Education Northwest, where they led the Oregon Leadership Network and worked on American Indian/Alaska Native educational projects in the Northwest Comprehensive Center; and Chalkboard Project, where they were responsible for sunsetting a 5.8 million dollar project and creating the next iteration in Oregon that will diversify the educator workforce and improve teacher educator systems. In their current role as Executive Vice President, they are responsible for leading Metropolitan Group’s education practice.

Shadiin Garcia has a PhD in Critical and Sociocultural Studies in Education from the University of Oregon, a Master of Education (MEd) in Education Leadership from the University of Oregon, and a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature, General from Yale University.
