Stephanie Spangler

Stephanie Spangler is an accomplished Costume Director and Head of Wardrobe at the Metropolitan Opera, with experience since October 2018. Previously, Stephanie held the position of GreenMarket Manager at GrowNYC between May and November 2020. With an extensive background at Blue Man Group from 2007 to 2018, Stephanie managed a team of six in the Wardrobe and Makeup Department, overseeing a $500,000 budget and helping to develop a digital wardrobe archive. Additionally, Stephanie served as Wardrobe Lead and was involved with live shows, ensuring performers were dressed and made up accordingly. Prior experience includes a role as Wardrobe Department Supervisor and Adjunct Instructor at Montclair State University, teaching costuming and technical theater. Stephanie’s academic qualifications include a Master of Library & Information Science with an Archives Certificate from Pratt Institute and a Bachelor of Arts in Theater Arts and Women's Studies from UMass Boston.
