Matthew Timmermans (He/Him)

Matthew Timmermans is a seasoned musicologist with extensive experience in the opera field. Current involvement as an Invited Speaker at The Metropolitan Opera Guild since 2018 showcases expertise in the subject. Additional roles include contributions as an Invited Speaker for the TRIANGLE WAGNER SOCIETY and Canadian Opera Company, and as a Course Instructor at Brooklyn College. Prior writing contributions for Opera Canada and Ludwig Van further highlight Matthew's strong background in music writing. Academic achievements include a Doctor of Philosophy in Musicology from The Graduate Center, City University of New York, a Master of Arts in Musicology from McGill University, and a Bachelor of Music in Music Performance with a minor in Arts Administration from the University of Ottawa.
