Debbie Liu

Debbie L. possesses extensive experience in community engagement, planning, and advocacy, currently serving as a Manager at the Metropolitan Planning Council since April 2019, with a focus on zoning and land use assessment for projects like the Chinatown Viaduct Reinvisioning. Previously, roles included Community Engagement Associate at the same organization, where contributions involved various community action initiatives in Chicago. Debbie is also a member of the Urban Land Institute's Health Leaders Network, engaging in collaborative efforts to enhance health and social equity. Additional training includes participation in leadership academies and policy fellowships, such as the Illinois Women’s Institute for Leadership Training Academy and the National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development's Community in the Capitol Fellowship.
