Hedi Tawfik-Maldonado

Hedi Tawfik-Maldonado is a seasoned professional with significant experience in education and hospitality management. As the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of tabla LUNA since January 2014, Hedi has contributed to the success of a Latin American restaurant. In the educational sector, Hedi serves as the Chief Operations Officer and Deputy Director at Metropolitan School Egypt while previously holding the role of Business Development Manager for GEMS Education Solutions from January 2013 to May 2023. In these positions, responsibilities included managing school start-up projects, client relations, local recruitment, and ensuring compliance with operational standards. Prior experience includes serving as General Manager at Edrak Developments, where the focus was on marketing and operations for The Little Gym Egypt, and working as Registrar and Art Lead Teacher at SABIS® Educational Services, overseeing admissions and art curriculum development. Hedi holds a German diploma and a BA in Political Science from Cairo University.
