About

After joining Metropolitan State University in 2020 as Legacy and Major Gift Officer, Rachel Hughes stepped into the role of Interim Associate Vice President for Advancement. She offers almost 20 years of experience in leading fundraising divisions, volunteer and board management, and marketing. Before joining the team at Metro State, Rachel served as Development Director at the Dodge Nature Center in St. Paul. She is excited to be a part of the Metro State team and was drawn to the University’s student-centered programs, commitment to an anti-racist learning environment, and civic engagement.
