Bobbie Anderson joined Metropolitan State University in 2012 and is currently serving as Vice President of Student Success. She has also served as Director of Gateway Student Services and Interim Director of Student Development at Metropolitan State. Previously, she had served in various roles at DeVry University in multiple states. She came to the university with more than 10 years leadership experience. Bobbie has also served as a community faculty member in the College of Individualized Studies at Metropolitan State University and served as an adjunct faculty member at DeVry in areas including business, management, and critical thinking skills (for college freshmen).
Bobbie has a passion for student success. She helped transform the Gateway Center to include more services for students in one-stop, and she was able to add services to all four major Metro State locations. Additionally, Bobbie has experience working with and leading student veteran services, career services, women’s & LGBTQ+ services, academic advising, financial aid, accessibility services, orientation, commencement, scholarships, placement testing, and student health services.
Bobbie holds a B.S. in Business Administration with an emphasis on International Business. She also holds an M.A. in Organizational Management from Concordia University in Saint Paul, MN. Bobbie also completed a Masters in Public and Nonprofit Administration from Metropolitan State University. She earned her PhD in Business Management from Capella University. Her dissertation focus was on how leadership style affects an employee’s job satisfaction and intent to stay with an organization specific to females in the Millennial generation.
