Douglas Acosta

Douglas Acosta has over 20 years of experience in business intelligence and software development. Douglas started their career as a consultant and programmer at AbacusAsesores S.A. in 2000. From 2005 to 2006, they worked as a consultant and programmer at Banco del Pichincha. Acosta then joined Seguros Equinoccial as a BI consultant, where they implemented a BI strategy and developed software solutions for client support. In 2008, they became the Business Intelligence Manager at Grünenthal, before joining Metropolitan Touring in 2012 as the Business Intelligence Manager. There, they established the Business Intelligence department and implemented information systems for various subsidiaries and business partners. Douglas later became the Head Of Business Intelligence at Metropolitan Touring in 2019. Acosta has a strong background in implementing BI strategies and developing software solutions.

Douglas Acosta completed their education with a Master's degree in Artificial Intelligence from VIU - Universidad Internacional de Valencia in 2019. In the same year, they also pursued a program on Business Administration and Management at Tecnológico de Monterrey. Prior to this, from 2016 to 2017, they obtained a Master's degree in Data Management and Technological Innovation from Universitat de Barcelona. In 1999, they completed their undergraduate studies in Computer Science Engineering from Escuela Politécnica del Ejército.

In addition to their formal education, Douglas Acosta has obtained several certifications. In 2022, they earned the Disciplined Agile Scrum Master (DASM) certification from the Project Management Institute. Douglas also holds the Inbound Marketing Certified certification from HubSpot Academy, which they acquired in 2019. In 2018, they obtained the Data Science and Data Engineering certification from DataScienceDojo. Furthermore, in 2017, they achieved the Scrum Master Certified and Scrum Fundamentals Certified certifications from SCRUMstudy - Accreditation Body for Scrum and Agile. Lastly, they are a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), which they obtained in 2002.
