Metropolitan Utilities District
Akintoye Oyelami currently serves as a Geographic Information Systems Technician at the Metropolitan Utilities District, focusing on automating spatial analysis processes and ensuring data accuracy within water infrastructure projects. Previous roles include Geographic Information System Intern and Graduate Assistant at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, where oversight of laboratory components and integration of GIS technologies was essential. Additional experience encompasses positions at Group Vivendi Africa and Ikeja Electric, where responsibilities included managing geospatial databases and performing spatial analysis for fiber optic and utility projects. Akintoye holds a Master of Science in Geography with a concentration in Geographic Information Science and Technology from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Bachelor of Technology in Remote Sensing and Geo-Science Information System from the Federal University of Technology Akure.
