Adam Benson

Adam Benson is currently the Group Manager of Finance at the Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, a position held since April 2023. Prior to this role, Adam served as a Consultant at both Sloan Sakai Yeung & Wong LLP and Renne Public Law Group from August 2020 to April 2023. Adam was the Director of Finance and Treasurer for the City of Oakland from June 2017 to August 2020, overseeing finance management and budget administration. Adam also served as a Principal Consultant at Renne Sloan Holtzman Sakai, LLP - Public Management Group from February 2015 to June 2017, specializing in public sector HR, finance, and workforce consulting, and as a Senior Managing Consultant at PFM from August 2010 to February 2015. Adam holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from The George Washington University, as well as multiple certifications from IFEBP and the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and a Master in Public Administration with a focus on Public Finance from the University of Pennsylvania.
