Lilia I. Martinez

Lilia I. Martinez has extensive experience in environmental planning and compliance, currently serving as Principal Environmental Specialist at The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California since September 2002. Throughout their career, Martinez has held various roles, including Senior Environmental Specialist and Environmental Specialist, focusing on conducting complex environmental studies and ensuring adherence to regulations. Previous positions include Environmental Scientist at the Regional Water Quality Control Board and Program Specialist at the California Department of Pesticide Regulation. Martinez has also contributed to Sempra Energy as a Principal Environmental Specialist, and worked with the California Department of Transportation and California Department of Fish and Game in environmental planning and regulatory functions. Martinez holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Administration from the University of Southern California, completed between 1979 and 1983.
