Vesa Junnikkala

Vesa Junnikkala is the Director of Sustainability at Metsä Group, where they oversee initiatives related to sustainability and certification systems such as PEFC and FSC COC. They previously served as Wood Procurement Manager and Operations Manager, Import at Metsä Group, managing wood procurement and logistics across multiple countries. Vesa has also held positions as a District Manager at Tetra Laval Svetogorsk AO and as a Project Manager at Thomesto Oy and Scanagri Finland Oy. They served on the Board of FSC Finland, representing the economic chamber, and hold a Master’s degree in Forestry from Helsingin yliopisto.
