Bori Arrobo

Director, Sustainability at Fort Mckay First Nation

Bori Arrobo joined Fort McKay First Nation as Environmental Coordination in the Sustainability Department in November 2012. Since then, he has been promoted to Manager and Senior Manager, Environmental and Regulatory, before becoming Director of Sustainability in July 2020. Originally from Ecuador where he completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology, he then went on to complete a Master of Science degree in Energy and Environment at the University of Calgary in 2002. Before joining Fort McKay, he has worked with indigenous communities in the Ecuadorian Amazon in matters related to environmental impacts resulting from oil development. He also has experience working as an environmental supervisor in oil pipeline construction.
