Norm Henry

Chief of Science & Innovation

Norm Henry is the Chief of Science & Innovation at MetService New Zealand, where they focus on the general management of the National Meteorological Service. Previously, Norm served as General Manager in various roles, including Corporate Strategy and Meteorological Services, overseeing business planning, strategy development, and weather forecasting programs. Norm holds a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Carleton University, a Master of Science in Physics from the University of Toronto, and completed the Meteorologists Operational Course at Environment Canada. With experience in operational forecasting in both Canada and New Zealand, they bring a wealth of expertise in numerical weather prediction and management.
