Felix Wegener has a wealth of experience in the IT and security industries. Felix started their career in 2009 as a Tutor and Assistant at TU Dortmund University, teaching applied mathematics to engineers. In 2012, they founded Felix Wegener IT Consulting, where they provided IT consulting and development services. In 2016, they established Felix Wegener - IT Security & Data Protection, providing IT security and data protection services. In 2017, they joined Ruhr University Bochum as a Researcher, where they conducted research in hardware security and published works in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. In 2021, they joined Fox Fox Labs as a Senior Software Engineer, writing web applications for the regular web and web 3.0/blockchain using React/Typescript, NodeJS and Solidity. Finally, in 2022 they joined OpenZeppelin as a Security Services Manager (EMEA) and Smart Contract Security Researcher, leading and conducting security audits of smart contracts written in Solidity.

Felix Wegener attended Ruhr University Bochum from 2016 to 2017, where they obtained a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in IT Security. Prior to this, they attended TU Dortmund University from 2008 to 2011, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in both Mathematics and Informatics.
