Joerg. Hammerschmidt

Joerg Hammerschmidt has extensive work experience in the mining and metallurgical industry. Joerg. started their career at Outotkumpu Technology in 2003, working as a Process Engineer in Zinc Hydrometallurgy Technology. In 2004, they joined Outotec, where they held various roles, including Senior Process Engineer in Roasting Technology and Head of Technologygroup in Heat Recovery. From 2009 to 2018, they served as the Head of the Product Line "Roasting Technology" at Outotec. In 2018, they were promoted to the position of Director in the Product Group "Fluid Bed Technology" at Outotec, a role they continued in until 2020. Currently, Joerg Hammerschmidt is employed at Metso Outotec as the Director of the Product Group "Fluid Bed Technology".

Joerg Hammerschmidt received their Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Machinenbau from RWTH Aachen University in 1998. Joerg. later completed their Ph.D. in Process Metallurgy from the same university in 2002.
