Markku Hakala

Markku Hakala serves as the Vice President of Supply Chain Finance for Consumables at Metso since May 2023, having previously held the role of Director in the same function within the same company. Prior to Metso, Markku was the Director of Supply Chain Finance at Metso Outotec from August 2020 to July 2023. Markku's extensive career at Outotec from August 2008 included various roles in finance and control for the SEAP and APAC regions, as well as leadership in business control for China. Additional experience includes serving as a Board Member and Chairman of the Finnish Business Council Shanghai, and holding finance-related positions at Rettig Group, Rettig China, Fortum Oil and Gas, and Neste Polyester China. Markku holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance from Central Ostrobothnia University of Applied Sciences, completed in 1996.
