Vesa Juusela

Vesa Juusela serves as the Director of Product Quality and Safety at Metso since November 2022, leading the integrated management system and overseeing quality and safety activities throughout the Aftermarket and Services business areas. Previous roles include Sustainability and Compliance Lead at Sandvik, where responsibilities encompassed sustainability strategy development and product safety compliance across multiple global markets. Juusela's experience also includes positions as Lead Auditor/Product Assessor at VTT, where auditing and regulatory compliance for medical devices were key focuses, as well as earlier roles with SGS in testing engineering and Vattenfall in project engineering. Juusela holds multiple degrees in Automation Engineering, including a Master's degree from Tampere University of Technology, and has completed several certifications in functional safety and quality auditing.
