Wayne Freeman

Wayne Freeman has a diverse work experience in the technology industry. Wayne is currently working as the Chief Technology Officer at NatWest Boxed since 2023. Prior to this, Wayne held the same position at Mettle, the UK's first standalone digital business bank, where they scaled the technology team and delivered a digital-only banking experience. Wayne also worked as the Chief Technology Officer at Bó for a brief period in 2020. Wayne has experience in the VP Engineering role at WorldRemit, Director Software Engineering at Capital One, and Software Development Manager at Amazon Development Centre, London. Wayne also has significant experience at blinkbox, where they served as Head of Client Devices Development and Principal Development Engineer Lead. Earlier in their career, Wayne worked as a Senior Software Engineer/Consultant at EJ Hancock Associates and Charteris plc, where they were involved in various projects for clients such as Microsoft, Nationwide Building Society, Virgin Atlantic Airways, and NTL (now Virgin Media). Wayne started their career as a Senior Developer at Marlborough Stirling Group.

Wayne Freeman attended the University of Plymouth from 1991 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree (Hons) in Computing & Informatics.
