Hui-Chen Wang is currently a Commissioning and Support Engineer at Mevion Medical Systems, responsible for the commissioning of proton therapy systems and associated imaging and patient setup systems. Prior experience includes serving as a Research Associate I at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where Hui-Chen improved Time-of-Flight analysis for secondary light ions using the PHITS code. As a Graduate Research Assistant at the same institution, involvement included accelerator-based experiments related to Galactic Cosmic Ray Shielding, contributing to the optimization of shielding design. Earlier, at National Tsing Hua University, Hui-Chen worked as a Research Assistant on thermal-hydraulic assessments related to spent fuel pool models and simulating loss of coolant accidents, while also conducting a comprehensive literature survey on reactor systems as an Undergraduate Research Assistant. Hui-Chen holds a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, as well as a Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in the same field from National Tsing Hua University.
