Phil Burgess

Phil Burgess has had a long and varied career in the transportation industry. Phil began their career in 2003 as a Branch Supervisor for Avis Rent a Car, where they were responsible for managing the rental operations of two locations, as well as staff and buildings. In 2009, they moved on to become an Account Manager for The Knowledge Gym. In 2012, they joined GSB Supplycorp Ltd as the Fleet Category Sales and was responsible for promoting and growing their vehicle sourcing business. In 2014, they took on two roles, serving as the NZ Corporate Account Manager for Europcar Australia and New Zealand, as well as Duty Supervisor for NZ Bus. In 2016, they became the Head of Mobility and Chief Marketing Officer for Mevo, an evolutionary car sharing start up company.

Phil Burgess attended Havelock North Primary School, followed by Havelock North High School from 2000 to 2005. Phil then attended Victoria University of Wellington from 2006 to 2008, where they earned a BCA in Marketing, Commercial Law, and Psychology.
