Lauren Lakata

Lauren Lakata is a seasoned accounting professional with extensive experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently, Lauren holds a position in Partnership at Mewbourne Oil Co since January 2023. Prior to this, Lauren served as Account Payable Lead for an outsourced team at ExxonMobil from March 2019 to January 2023, managing a team of over 60 contractors and overseeing quality control in accounting processes. Lauren also worked as an Accounting Supervisor at ExxonMobil, leading a team across five states and successfully managing a significant AP transfer project. With earlier experience as an Engineering Technician and Accounting Analyst at XTO Energy, Lauren has a solid foundation in financial processes and analysis. Lauren earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from the University of Texas at Tyler and an Associate of Arts in Business Administration from Tyler Junior College.
