Cecilia Yakin

Cecilia Yakin is an accomplished Mural Teaching Artist at Mexic-Arte Museum since December 2023 and has been a self-employed Artist and Educator since June 2020. With a diverse teaching background, Cecilia co-teaches ceramics classes at Imagine Art Studios alongside Evan Horn since July 2018 and serves as an Art Mentor for Latinx high school students in the "Caminos" Program at the Mexican American Cultural Center since January 2018. Previously, Cecilia worked as a Teaching Artist at Creative Action and the Emma S. Barrientos Mexican American Cultural Center from February 2019 to June 2020 and held the role of Office Administrator and HR Event Planner at LatinWorks from May 2018 to January 2019. Cecilia holds a Bachelor of Science in Applied Learning and Development and a Bachelor's degree in Education and Art from The University of Texas at Austin, completed between 2010 and 2015.
