Vincent Liu, Ph.D.

Sr. Chemical Engineer and Materials Engineer at Meyer Sound

Vincent Liu, Ph.D. has a strong background in chemical engineering and materials science. Vincent has held various senior-level roles in different companies.

From 2000 to 2003, Vincent worked as a Sr. Materials Engineer at DigiLens Inc., where they developed waveguides and wearable display packaging using holographic polymers. Vincent also performed failure analysis and long-term reliability testing of adhesive-assembled modules.

In 2003, Vincent joined eLCOS Microdisplay Technology, Inc. as a Sr. R&D Engineer. Here, they focused on the packaging of liquid crystal on silicon (LCOS) micro-displays used in rear projection HDTV. Vincent monitored project timelines and conducted failure analysis to ensure device stability.

Vincent then joined Meyer Sound in 2004 as a Sr. Chemical Engineer and Materials Engineer. At Meyer Sound, they provided technical leadership in material selection and formulation of adhesives and coatings for loudspeakers. Vincent also conducted failure analysis and developed ultra-weatherized coatings for loudspeakers used in harsh environments.

Prior to their industry roles, Vincent worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Case Western Reserve University.

Vincent Liu, Ph.D. holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Macromolecular Science and Engineering from Case Western Reserve University. Prior to their doctoral studies, they completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Applied Chemistry with a specialization in the Synthesis of Block Copolymers of Polystyrene with Liquid Crystalline Polyesters from National Chiao Tung University.
