Jan Ruisch has an extensive career in the maritime and oil industries, with significant roles spanning several decades. Ruisch began as a cadet and progressed to 3rd and 2nd officer at Esso Tankvaart Mij. from August 1972 to June 1983. Following that, Ruisch served as a senior technician at ExxonMobil Raffinaderij bv Nederland from July 1983 to February 2001, contributing to oil movement, shipping, and utility operations. Ruisch continued in the maritime sector as C/O on dry cargo vessels with Boomsma Shipping at Sneek from March 2001 to June 2003, before taking on the role of Master at Management Facilities Group from July 2003 onward.
